I am a devoted minidisc user and really that is one of the things that got me back into boomboxes ,
as I needed a way to play my portable minidisc players and a boombox with an input seemed like a great solution.
I have almost 2 terabytes of music on my computer in various formats and I am slowly moving them to either HI-MD or MD sp .
my favorite unit is my sony MZ-NH1

someday I will have all my music on Md's or vinyl except for a few cassettes to play with .

That's why I was considering trying a minidisc, they can be found fairly inexpensively.

I think you would love it and you can get started for less than $20 on some of the lesser models.if you can make a deal on a HI-MD unit I think that would be great because 600 songs per disc is quite a plus

They sound great.I still have my MZ-N505 TypeR. Cd quality sound and the Sound processor is damn good. The bass is there deep and strong and the AA battery does not suffer from it. Get one Don. You wont be disappointed.

Hey Turbo...I need the drivers for Windows Vista. Any idea where to get it? I looking at the Soy site right now. Sonic stage is installed and now I need the driver..
