I'll be working but after blowing 3 sets of door speakers and endlessly rattle driving me fooking crazy I think I got it licked. Least my agonizing drive to work I can rock. My jeep will destroy any boombox , plus its mobile. I was hoping to get out the gf 9000 ,still might be take an after work outdoor whisky drinking pic lol.

That's awesome guys! I've been fixing up and polishing my boxes getting them ready to look their best.

You just can't beat that little DJ-Tech for a modern blaster!

Unless Floyd comes thundering up in his Jeep

Oh trust me I keep it real , I even put chrome caps on the woofers in the door speakers lol.my fosgate amp just wants to murder every thing I hook up to it but my old skool kicker competition sub's eat that and ask for more.

Not sure about the whiskey  but I have two sets of 10 D batteries down. Only 10 more to do before Saturday. It's gonna be close but I hope to have the M90, C100 and the M70 all singing at once on batteries this weekend.

Are those chargers expensive? Maybe you could get a couple more so you can charge 10 all at once :-D

About 30 bucks for this one. They're cheap. I don't have an excuse. Seems like I enjoy shooting myself in the foot and complaining about the pain
I need to get another one. Maha makes a good one for 100 dollars that'll do 8 at once. Just need to break down and do that

*Edit* - Just purchased a Maha MH-C808M.....The Struggle is over. I can now shove more juice down my boxes throats from dead batteries to fully charged before the amp chips cool off

I've been there before.

Speaking of power outages..that is another thing that worries me about a few low end chargers. If the power goes out while charging some of the chargers lose track of where the state of the battery was when it left off. Even my current "smart" charger. Not sure if folks know but there are consumer grade "smart" chargers and then Professional grade...but that's for another discussion and I covered it a while ago on another thread. Anyway, during a power surge, my current model can show a full charge, then a blip in the power and it starts at 3 bars out of 5 charging again. So were they really full?....or is it just overcharging now? :hmmm:

The Maha is one of the top dog chargers and just like inkjet printers in respect to ink cost...the money is in the batteries not the charger, so I really want a charger that's on its game and won't cook my batteries ;-)

The charger I have now has been great (with common sense on my part with battery chemistry) and I will keep it but at times it can get the batteries hot if not depleted before charging. I really have high hopes with the Maha

Any charger worth their salt will know how full the battery is when you put it in, and will charge it 100% from there. That's how my Nitecore charger works. Unfortunately they don't make one for D-size LI-ion setups but Accupower's IQ338XL does.

^^^Thanks. Gives me a good vibe :-) ^^^

How do you know your Memorial Day weekend is off to a good start?

.....a wife that complains about the volume asks you to put in her favorite tape, crank the volume and press play today!

  :w00t: .....yes ma'am! :dj-party:

After all. You need to make sure the full sweep of the potentiometer, LED indicators and needles are all working and ready before company shows right?

^^I noticed the left far LED was a little weak. Up another dash on the volume dial took care of that.
