Member location, why people are hiding it?

I always wonder why members don't want to share where their location is, at least based on the country they belong to and to a state from they are from.

I understand it is a personal choice, and but when they ask for help we always wonder if they are somewhere in our area where we live.

I have no problem to say that I live in Chicago, IL, USA.

Because there have been a string of wack-o's that have been in and out of boomboxery. Last thing you want is one standing on your doorstep......

yes i remember him well Retro, he threatened me and another member but i think he is long gone now

i personally don't see the need in location id unless you are selling something as collection only like i always do

No not him Reli haha i remember though me and jvc floyd were in the chat room and he went bananas lol the guy im referring to was a moderator on stereo2go, because of this it took ages for people to catch him out, it's a shame because he was an ok guy when not drunk...he was also from the uk and yes he had been to my house before i found out how bad he actually was....there was a time when i wasnt much better i was always drunk but i never liked the high prices and was always getting mad at them lol...now things are 100 times more expensive so that achived nothing but at least i don't want any more radios...it's the same with most old electronics tho and again i don't see the point, pay 3 k for an amp when most of the caps are on the way out, like i found out with my pioneers....something that pisses me off even more, most claim it's been recapped which i have found out the hard way, is a load of bollox
