Pretty good day today, found 10 Maxell XL II S 60 and 12 TDK SA 60 for $15................not big on 60's but they'll do :thumbsup:

15 bucks ain't much, you will see what kind of price they will be by the end of the year. NOS tape plunder (as I'll call it) is becoming rarer. A little more expensive per tape, I saw these on ebay UK last night

They are chromes below the standard of stalwart SAs, but they'll do for average recordings. Means, I'll preserve my SAs longer.

Pack those XLII-S's away, for that special day. :drool:

Good catch, I know I would have snagged them all for $15. :thumbsup:
The inventory of good tapes at the thrifts around me has significantly dropped the last few years and I expect that trend to continue so I grab any sealed tape that's not type I.

Hey :agree: MB84, I pick up everything now except Type I, where as before I would be much more specific and never pay attention to getting 60 but as you said tapes in general seem to be harder and harder to find :thumbsdown:
