Tonight we had the pleasure of having Paul Z and his wonderful soulmate Stephanie
over for some beer and Boomboxery.
Paul and I spent a great part of the evening working on his latest find ,
"The $50.00 Conion C-100 F".(what a lucky guy)
A complete Conion on craigslist in Southwest Florida :thumbsup:
Tonight we took it apart and got rid of all the little aftermarket goodies , like the soldered in power cord
and the spliced in RCA connectors. We couldn't figure out why anyone in their right mind would have done these
wonderful mods but we got her back to her original state (Mostly).
Luckily I saved some Conion parts from a prior restoration and we were able to desolder and replace the plug socket and also add a nice set of radio shack red tips.
Tara and Steph had a great time conversing and hit it off great, We all did in fact have a great time.
We are going to get back together on Saturday for some fun in the sun with the Altec so stay tuned!!!!

Thanks for having us Tara and Frank, we had a great time and look forward for Saturday. :beer2: :breakdance:

We did some much needed emergency proceedures on this box, and I'm glad frank was able to help me out. I'll be posting some pics of the Conion doing beach duty soon.

Rick, you need to start saving money now! All you need is about $1,200 USD for a round-trip ticket to Tennessee. :-D

Hey Gluecifer, if you fly out from Australia, I'll fly out from Los Angeles (when I get back from Japan!).

Ummmm, Has anyone tried to fly with a GF-777 as carry on?

My Betty is going shopping today and I have instructed her to buy a Case of PBR so I can bring down the Big Sanyo in two weeks and have Frank fix it.

I figure it is going t be a full case job. (or Frank would you prefer Schlitz?) :-P
