hi friends,
im thinking of buying a marantz PH-32 (i think they are also called a PM-326).

ive never heard or even seen one, is the sound & build quality really that good with these later marantz portables?

if i get one it will be to plug a cd player & mp3 player into, so cassette player performance is of little interest to me.

its not cheap - maybe twice what i might have to pay for my first love (panasonic rx-f35/f32), so im hoping the sound will be twice as good :dunce:

thanks for reading

just my one experience --

i 'won' an ebay 326 $$ :'-(

with both a broken deck and broken tuner --

but the amp is fantastic --
and the speakers sound WAY better than even the famous jvc - pc 5

so
imho
get it

i saw that a perfect one sold on US ebay for $150 a few months ago - im assuming that price is extremely cheap?

i might have to pay about 3 times that if i want one soon :hmmm:

One this there is two models the 32 and 52. The difference is the tuner with the 32 as an analog and the 52 having digital (auto scan).

I think the rest of the unit is the same.

The PM-326 is the amp section only, 32 & 52 is the model numbers for the full units.

Will reply to your PM.

also, andy -
as per your other question -

the marantz sounds SEVERAL times better than the little panny 32/35 -
no contest -- different league

You will have to scan and upload the manuals for us

With the price, if your happy then the price then it is ok, regardless of what people think.

Does it have the rear cover, from what I have seen most are missing.

I have one of these. They sound lovely, and are beautifully compact.

I was going to trade it a while back, but nothing came of it and to be honest it's a lovely addition to my collection.
Without the back cover they're HELLA messy with leads. Good luck with her, Andy!

Rock On.
