So a size comparison between the Fisher PH492 and my new Technics SA C07...Both are 3 pc boxes... Both look like well built Hi Fi audio component systems....Both are very LARGE and very HEAVY :-O Both sound spectacular :drool: but this is what sets the Technics in whole higher category :yes: The huge Amp Chip :cool: check it out :thumbsup:

nice the monster stk chip which is also used in alot of home recivers rated between 25 watts on up per channel :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :drool: :drool:

awesome i know first hand how powerful this unit is and how heavy it is as well ,there were times i thought it would blow the speakers but it never did :lol: these slam ! .

Nice :-) But the Technics is really like a home stereo with a handle, like some Sony FH series. It doesn't take batteries.

No kidding... That STK would suck batteries down real fast.... I would love to get one of these... I would most likely put in Technics SVI2004A power ic... It is their new class A chip, and mostly pin compatible with the 2028

:agree: but even if this used batteries ( rechargeable type battery was available in 1981) I would most certainly never carry it around. This sucka is H E A V Y :-O without battery's
