Magnavox D8443 Cassette Gear

Need a replacement of the notorious failed gear for the 8443. Anyone know where I can get one?

Does anyone know if the same gears are also used in the cheap/low end BB's made by Magnavox/Philips? A free or low cost beat up box might prove to be a worthwhile donor box.

Yes mono 7140 and 7240.

i have a set from a d 8478 and a set from d 8334 both fit the magnavox / philips d 8443

Wasn't there a member a long time ago who was recasting these gears in a newer, stronger plastic?

Yes he still sells them on eBay. I bought another one but issue with them is they are a tiny bit smaller, probably from drying process. So they work but make noise and also autostop don't work cuz they are a little smaller.
