So you got it mate! Awesome. I sent a few offers the first time it came up and I was also very interested to know how it arrived in Australia. I got no answer and the box was removed the next day, then it came back.
Enjoy! It looks so lovely.

Needs a good clean (especially the speaker cones--they're pretty dusty).
One thing i was pissed about is that the tape deck is a no-go despite the seller saying it was perfect. No power getting to it even...so i'll have to get to the bottom of that very soon. The sound is very good...a bit better than the Aiwa 880. The right VU meter bounces slightly less than the left meter...ideas to why? The sound appears equal from both channels. I haven't opened it up yet to clean switches etc so i should do that first. I got a $100 partial refund from the seller for the tape deck issue. Cosmetically it's a 9 i'd say...couple blemishes up on top near the trim. Pretty happy i am. :-)

I have quite a few boxes now with non-op decks. Time to get my ass in gear...

With the partial discount, it's turned into more of a bargain than ever!

I've had a few boxes with unequal VU meters. Mostly it's been a function selector, band selector, balance control or volume control at fault.

I'm sure you will get the deck going. Even if it worked OK, it would probably needs belts/lube pretty soon anyway.

Very jealous over here!! :-D
