If you have the piece use acrylic cement to bond it together carefully. If not then you will have to use filler/sand/paint.

Piece was nowhere to be found.

What a mess. Will have to repaint the entire box.

What kind of filler? and is there a known paint that matches?

Oh yes, I had to go back and have another look at your thread. This is what inspired me to fix the 8989z and now it will inspire another!
I'd forgotten how much work that 9000 was!...must've been mad lol...still have it and would never part with it :-)

Worked on taking the box apart to start the repair job, was not as bad as i thought. Found out there was a broken screw post but that is an easy fix since i have the piece. Posted below some pics of the progress. Given the tight clearance of the area i need to fix I plan to either use an old plastic card or a thin piece of sheet metal.

DUDE!!! you should cover the tuner window with masking tape while you work on it so that it doesn't get scratched up by mistake....JB weld makes a good repair & it can be sanded too....looks pretty close to the original color when mixed as an added bonus until you find a matching paint....

Krylon 'Hammered Finish' is a good substitute with a close color match & the shift is very close to the original. It's very forgiving when blending touch up spots, etc too. Hard to find paint but worh it in my opinion....

Thanks for the Tip Cpl. tape applied! working on finding the paint match via the info from blu_fuz. will be headed to the auto body paint supply shops to see about getting a match. What might be the best stuff to use to weld sheet metal (galvanized steel or aluminum to the plastic body so that i can fill it in?

JB Weld, all the way for body work. Holds posts & bonds pieces of plastic & meteal together like no other goo but it takes 24 hours to fully harden & strengthen....you have to set it with clamps or some type of fixed anchoring until it cures fully.....there are a number of 5 minute epoxies that are about 3/4 the strength of JB so it really depends on the need but JB is probably the strongest bonding epoxy & filler in one...

Finally had time to put this back together. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice to get this fixed. Funny thing is i found another m90. Now i have two and may think about parting with one since my space is limited.
