How much were the 777s back when they were brand new? Who offered them for sale (sears, radio shack, etc.)? Does anyone have an original ad for the 777 series?

Joe I found this on here, gives a price. Sorry I don't know about original sellers but I think I saw an ad around somewhere with Searcher all over it.

The "Searcher" is the Japanese version.

$800 new! Holy man.... the Wheelies were only $500, but knowing the quality of the 777, I understand why they were so much more. Thanks for the link! I was hoping to find an original "for sale" ad from back in the day but this will do for now.

I did find a almost new 777/777z service manual and it showed up yesterday. This thing is cool and really packed with good information. Too bad I can't read schematics too well yet .

nah... sears and radio shack never sold the 777 as far as i recall....only discount electronics and appliance shops sold them...which sold dj equiptment, tvs. watches...etc....the price for the 777 ranged about 250.00 depending where you went and was allot money for many people back then...you could of haggle with them at times to get a better deal...or put it on lay-away and pay little by little...here's an ad i saved from the 80s that they were on special at one time for 199.99....very to rare to had find for that price though back then....
