hello all.well here we go again ..one of my friends found this box today on his trash route.he saved it for me and said to his friend i think this will make jimmy happy..well he was right its a techsonic mx 900E..its a little rough some scratches and the gold is oxidized but it works and its loud as hell .. the price was right too...its costing me a cup of coffee and a roll . so im gonna strip it all down and give it a cleaning and see whats up with the tape decks.stay tuned..here are a few pics

well the old girl is showing signs of life ...just went down the basement and took the tarnished vol knob and put it on the high speed wheel with compound came out pretty good so im gonna give this on a full restoration here are the compare pics........

have used our counter to clean and repair and left a couple holes and super glue Very nice freebee

At least granite resists soldering iron burns.
My Formica counter tops have had many of solder blobs drop on it
Got some nice little burn marks.

It's shocking how well the volume knob came out, I think you have a good chance of bringing that box most of the way back to it's glory.
