it's not a boombox but a moveable hi fi system with handles on the back ,it pulls 140 watts from the 120 volt mains ,it weighs 45 to 50 pounds and it's hard to discribe how bad ass this thing sounds all i can say is fantastic! ,my mom bought it at a yard sale .

The only negative (if really one at it's weight) is that batteries aren't an option...that's it. And your mom is owed a nice dinner out by YOU!!!

It's a shame that it's not a battery-powered portable though.

Mind you though, if it was you wouldn't be able to play the Not-Analog bit while carrying it because it would be skipping all over the place.

50Lb weight? Definite VZ territory! The differences being, is that VZs have handles and battery compartments, and are all analog, baby!
