I recently saw a list of many little tricks that may help in the everyday life. There were two that might be interesting for restoring boomboxes I wanted to share

The first can help your boomboxes with wooden panels such as the RX-5700/7000/7200 Just rub a walnut on the panel :-)
I tested this on a little table and it worked great

I didn't test the the second trick but it should probably work very well with hazy tuner windows The solution is toothpaste

And then there's another good one

Dear Zippy, :-D They are all good if we are lost on some remote Island after a ship wreck!

With all the modern amenities around us we got spoiled with LOTS of choices and options.
We should embrace them and make the best use out of it.

Like you know there is not a "little bit of wood" on those simulated wood finish over plastic that we see on those lovely models like RX5700, RX7200, RX7000, Sony CFS 85S and all. I adore that look and have all those models in my collection.

Now, I will bring out my Gem Panny 7200 out for some pictures to post.

I especially like the last one :-D As for the headlights, I've used a basic cleaner wax (McGuiars) and it works very well. It's just not a permanent fix. Thanks.
