Cor, that cleaned up nice and turned into quite a good looker. I'm pleasantly surprised that Toshiba went to the effort of providing this mini with a Stereo Wide facility (unless it was the cheapest option to use the same technology they had used in other boxes?).

Good work, good result.

Nice clean up job on a neat little radio! I have the RT-SF2 and its a fun little take everywhere box. Mine has two way speakers, although the tweeters are so small their mostly useless. Mine also has FM/AM and TV1 and TV2 witch was probably pretty cool back in the day. It seems these radios were made right in the transition period when they were starting to get cheaper and cheaper build guality. Sorry about the run on sentence. Anywho saw your vid on YouTube and gave it a thumbs up! Enjoy you're cool new baby boombox. Thanks for the nice pictures too.👍👍

I've had a few Toshiba mini's the the stereo wide feature is quite effective. I always like the mini's that have every conceivable feature crammed into them :-D

When Toshiba was on their game, they made some high end mini's, but later on, they were the worst of the worst.

I think almost every brand made junk at the end of the 80s aside from , sony, panasonic, sansui. They all had at least 1 formidable box at the late 80s. every other manufacturer jumped off the bandwagon and making quality boxes because they knew they were about to get their asses kicked by CD players and car stereos with bass power that just plain shook the f****** streets.

By that time I think people with boomboxes knew they were going to look pretty f****** sad compared to a mother f***** pounding down the street with 4 15 inch subs and hundreds or even thousands of watts of power. I traded my helix weelie for a sub box back in the day. If I was to put a Boombox in my Jeep right up against my subwoofers the mother f***** would just Fall to Pieces and then the pieces would be vibrating.
