So, I picked up this little Panny 3-Piece for $4.00 . I'm not a 3-Piece guy, but at that price, I couldn't walk away. The drivers were toast so I replaced them with some cheapies from a local supplier.

Of course, I couldn't leave it well enough alone. I decided I was gonna LED the shiat out of this thing. I didn't realize how hard pressed I would be for real estate. And, no, Superduper, it does not have a giant toggle switch in the back.

"I can't wait. I have to see this."

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out, considering what I had to work with. I will post some better, more detailed pics this weekend. I had bigger plans for the EQ but, again, the real estate issue. I don't think I'll ever be done with this box. At 4 bucks I can do whatever I want.

Hi guys. I couldn't find my camera to save my life, so I snapped these with the iPhone. I did, however, find my minidisc player. :w00t:

I'm happy with the tuning scale, but I'll probably be tearing this apart again soon. It's definitely more "show" than "go."

The old Panny was looking lonely. Poor guy was sitting on a shelf 4 inches too short, so he was sitting on top of his speakers. Being a compassionate person, I refused to look the other way. I decided to give him a shot of color as a pick-me-up. While I had him apart, I went the extra mile and whipped up some simple crossovers with spare parts I had lying around. The difference in sound is night and day. He's looking fresh and happy now. He'll be even happier when he finds out that he's going to the cookout with me tomorrow. I've got another little surprise for him too. I'm bestowing him with BlueTooth in the next few weeks.
It feels good to do good.

Yes, the Yankees mask was done on purpose. See my avatar for more info.

How did you get the woofers to match? Did you paint them too? BTW, very sweet colour to tie the led mod together & you did a perfect job keeping those lines tight & straight. IT LOOKS SMOKIN'!!! :beer2:

 I did paint the woofers. But they are a POS. They already sound like "Thppppppppp!" Of course, I expected that for $14. I plan on upgrading them when I add BlueTooth, and I will paint those too. Might be a few weeks, though. I have a couple of other projects up in the air, not to mention a "new" Sanyo arriving next week. :w00t: It's tough between work, golf, and all these summer cookouts. But I'm sure I'll survive!
