Most of you have probably done this but i've had a Monster brand audio cable kicking around for a while and always wondered if it could be done. My GF-575 and D8614 both have line out/in points so i thought i'd give it a go. Plugged the cable in from the Philips to the Sharp and used a cassette adapter so my LED's still dance on the Philips. Rigged it up to my phone and pressed play. IT WORKED!!! so now I can use both boomers at the same time  Not exactly a tower of power but once i'd messed around with bass/treble/spatial settings I have a rather pleasing bassy sound. They both sound different but they kinda complement each other. :stereo:

Might be wise!! My res is a semi so as long as I stick to the right side of the house I can make loads of noise without bothering the neighbours :-D ...really pisses off the wife and the kids and the dog and the cat tho

Oh Yeah, I love wiring up radios in one way or another. I have a stack in my office that is always wired together unless I'm using one of them...

how far does it transmit ?

I am looking one that will do around 10-20 metres and can be used with battery so it doesn't have to be plugged into the cig. lighter in the car

any suggestions ?

I'm not sure the exact distance...at least 1-1.5km radius, and it is clear  ...mine doesn't work with batteries either.
