Hi all
I am restoring an Hitachi TRK-8290 and wondering what the general consensus is on replacing lettering/decals?
The box I have is not in fantastic condition and there are some scratches and marks in the case plus some lettering has faded.
I have read several articals about respraying, using screen printing or dry rub decals.
I would like to get a view from the experts.
I like to idea of trying to get back to factory condition which would require a respray plus then the lettering would need to be replaced which is my biggest concern on whether there is a way of doing this to an acceptable level of quality and not silly costs.
Any advice suggestions gratefully received.
I am particularly interested if anyone has had any joy using some of the diy dry rub offerings out there?
Many thanks
