Found two VZ2000's today. They both weren't suppose to work, but both did.

Well done and what a pleasant surprise, as they were supposed to be non-working'faulty I hope you got the deal of the century?!

Grabbed them both. One needs a power button...it may have fallen inside. The cassette decks need belts as do the turntables. There are a few missing sliders that need replacing and one antenna missing tip. No breaks or cracks though. Not a steal though price was very good. We haggled a bit after I plugged in one unit and got it to work. The seller wanted more $$$ for the unit after I got it to power up. Maybe I shouldn't have taken my ac cord with me? Whatever!

That can happen too Alan. I plugged in the one that he said had been looked at by a tech. The tech said it had bad power supply. I wasn't expecting it to come on....neither was the owner. Luckily the price only went up $50. I had to grab more $$$$ at the bank and come back for second unit. I was expecting to talk seller down, not pay more.

HA HA, Awesome. Another member was trying to reach that seller. I guess you got them first.

If you ever want to part one of them out, send me a PM, I could use some pieces.

Both radio's work on ac and 12 volt battery. Both cassettes are working. They are pretty loud, but I will probably try to sell one and keep one.

Chris keep in mind that the European vz has different wire plugs that are .not compatible with US vz 2000.

They both seem to be US as they are black/silver version. Hmm 😒 At least I thought Euro version was Blue/red version but I could be wrong

So, you got them. Seller never responded to a couple of other members. Congratulations. Nice catch. I was gonna try for them but Lord knows I don't need 4 of them. I planned on restoring them, and passing them to fellow members here. Please post more pics of your clean ups. ;-)
