So finally got it  The function switch dont work (of course ) but instead that is in really good condition and even the tapes are spinning  . Will open it to see what can i do for the switch, and must admit - must check few treads here about this issue. But damn - im happy :dj-party: :dj-party: :dj-party: . So hard to find those here in Europe.

can you fix function switches ?
i think there are about 12 contacts :-O  :-O :-)

From what I've heard, it is usually only a plastic part that either broke or wore out on those 931s so Tony should have her running in no time

yes that is a nice one :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: wow the switch syndrome umm very bad design once u open her up look at the switch more than likely the plastic gear is probably broke u might be able to shift it to the radio porcion by using something non metalic and on the side of the switch there is a opening and push it back ,,on the back side its also open so if the switch sits all the way back then just push it up until u hear the radio ,,now i have seen that switch basicly gone meaning missing the top case so in that case u have to replace the whole switch which might be a big chore :-/ :-/

Even with a busted function switch, these are nice to have.
Yay! I'm very happy for you Brother. And, She's complete. I actually think Yours looks more rare because it does NOT have the Auto Reverse, like so many others have. The Dual Antennas are cooler too (IMO).

Tony, I just made some Lasonic 931 Owner Manual & Warranty Card copies. I posted in the 'Manuals' section.

Thanks to all. Specially to Jimmy  . For now the boomer works just on radio and booms great  . Actually i have a very good friend tech dude who is wizard on customizing any kind of parts and even more than 10 pins switches  .
But Jimmy offered a great help and can save the whole hassle. Thanks dude
And one more question - are all old 931 have stoppers on the handle so can not be folded back fully ? Never seen such feature before :jawdrop:

This is the very first time I've seen a handle pushed so far forward... Is that normal for 2nd edition TRC-931's?

Perhaps you've just answered my question... I believe somebody might've either pulled the handle out or opened the box and reinserted the handle the wrong way.
