i have a lasonic trc 931 and the headphone jack is on the side....but, i saw one online and it was in the front..why would this be?different yr.?

Post a pic of your 931, there were many different versions and this could go a long way in explaining the difference.

there are many different 931 versions, some have 1 antenna and some are dual, some have meter on right and 1st edition has in on left with an auto deck. You can look up many of them in different posts by doing a search of trc931

You have a 2nd edition early model, made around 1986, the late model came with single antenna
