Lasonic TRC-931 restoration

Just received my TRC-931 and plan to do a teardown and clean everything from the inside out. Wondering if anyone has a service manual or know of a write up that someone did on taking this beast apart. I opened it already and there's wires coming from all over the place and its hard to get to one of the speakers or even the knobs for cleaning. Much help appreciated.

You would think that someone would have done a write-up on a full restoration - seeing as how many members have that particular boombox. Good luck with the resto, and remember, take lots of pictures to remember where all the wires go.

Thanks Fatdog, yes that would have been nice to find a write up, maybe i'll be the first to make one since this will be my first full restoration breakdown. I think taking pictures of every detail will help very much since there are so many wires coming from all directions. Well, this will be fun...

That would be awesome if you documented your tear down. It will become the manual.

ive completely torn down this box a bunch of times to the bare shell. its a bit daunting but semi easy after a few times, if you post pix i may be able to help :sin:
