Most of us know TRC-911, although he doesn't seem to hang out here anymore. His username comes from the Lasonic TRC-911. But, I'm curious... Do any of you guys have a Lasonic TRC-911?

I thought I saw a mono box with 911 on eBay a couple years ago :hmmm: As for Chris member trc911 I purchased some Lasonic parts a few months ago from him ;-)

I am trying to find a picture of one online but to no avail..... here is a list of lasonics from that era and they list the 911 for '80-'85 at the bottom of the page:

Let me help you with that. :-D

A couple of weeks ago, I had found something on craigslist (not a boombox) and went to pick it up. I saw a new indoor fleamarket and thought I would drop in to see what they had. Most of it was the usual crap you see at places like this and I had just about made a trip through the whole building when I happened to spot a silver box looking thing and what appeared to be a handle. Whatever it was, it was hiding behind a stack of old National Geographic magazines. The untrained eye would have missed it. :-D

So, I hurry over and move the stack and saw this tiny little mono sitting there. I picked it up and saw the logo - Lasonic. I thought, "Cool!!" I looked down at where it was, and to my surprise, it came with extra stuff! I grabbed everything I could find and ran to the cash register. :super:

Presenting the Lasonic TRC-911 with goodies:

The TRC-911 comes with a built-in power cord, which has it own cover. It operates off 117V AC and uses four "D" batteries for DC power and consumes 6W.

Another neat feature I would have never guessed I would see is a mono input jack. A remote condenser mic jack and a mono earphone jack are there as well.

Other specs:

Wow & flutter: 0.35% RMC
Output power: 1200 mW
Signal to Noise ration: 40 dB
Frequency response: 50-10,000 Hz
IC: 3
Transistors: 5
Diodes: 14
Speaker: 92mm, 2.5ohms
Dimensions (mm): 267(W) x 80 (D) x 167 (H)

Hmm, I'm not sure just yet as I didn't try it. When I find my mini-to-mini cable I'll certainly give it a go and report back.
