Well, you know I have been visitng my friends in the USofA this summer and I got the advise to get this boomer there.
Yesterday it arrived and I had to pick it up at customs. It is beautiful looking!
I had to run it on DC power here at first because Germany has a 230V output but it had rattling sounds and noises over 30 volume and when I put the iPod in, it had a cracking sound that came every second. BAD!
Turned out the cord I used apparently could not handle the demand of power the unit needed. Now it is running on batteries and works perfectly :-D .
It is awesome! It is like having a boombox from the 80s with all the classic looks but supporting all the model things.
Contrary to many bad opinions about I can only say: BUY IT!
(Well, of course I have heard better sound before but it is absolutely great if you adjust the bass to +7 and the treble to +5 and set it on loudness. Equals epic win :-) )

Wow, you got a shiny one!

Yeah, you need a voltage converter. ;-) If you don't get one, your batteries won't last very long for reasons previously stated in many other threads concerning the i931.

Congratulations.

Way to go, Max! That Vinix looks like a baby boombox compared to the i931. :-D

Have you bought a 12V converter, as i showed you in vienna?
But please not the cheapest one.
I bought it at Conrad electronics, it´s stabilized and works perfect.

Congrats on the box.
In america maybe nothing special, here a rare bird! :afro:
