Hello to everybody! My name is Egor, I'm from Russia and here's my story:
About an half a year ago I got my Lasonic from local seller. There is very limited market for such things, so all I got was black/blue one without chrome. Pretty dull design, If you ask me, but nevertheless I was very happy and proud with my new boombox, especially after: little mod - https://boomboxery.com/forum/index.php/topic/16442-lasonic-i931-btq-mod/, that made sound quality a lot better. Thx, TMR )))
I always got the thoughts of how to brighten up my boombox and make it more cool. I have pretty crude hands and not so much money, so I decided to place some stickers on it. I bought local russian stickerbook called "Parazitakusok" (sounds pretty russian, heh))).
It was pretty expensive and contained stickers created by graffity masters and artists. They were very awesome and beautiful, but maybe too beautiful for my cause - when I sticked them on the top of my Lasonic one by one, I was not very satisfied - they were too different and random and the whole picture was a little chaotic and messy (you can see that on a top). Then I googled "stickerbombing" a little, and found that is not what this all about. Stickerbombing is not about placing individual stcikers, but more like creating a solid layer of stickers to fill some area.
With that in mind, I decided to put away my artsy stickerbook and ordered more generic stickers from China. After a month I received them, and, should I tell, for their price they're were very nice!
After receiving I immediately started to cover surface with them. That was difficult at times, especially for button areas, and sometimes a had to remove placed stickers to make a better composition. I used small pieces that were cut out to fill corners and small areas. In the end, I'm very content with my work, but of course there is a lot of space for improvement.
I hope you like it too, and maybe use my work as inspiration for your customizations.
