hey guys one of my friends sent me this picture. I donno if he found it or someone sent it to him too, ill find out see wut he says
is this their new prototype?? iphone ready im guessing :hmmm: :hmmm:

But it seems like that tuner dial just keeps getting cheaper looking. Or is that a fake tuner dial, sorta like a fake spectrum analyzer on a wheely? :hmmm:

It looks like a decal made to resemble a tuner dial , similar to the previous i931.

Unfortunately, there's nothing "sorta" about it Norm. :-/
It's EXACTLY like the fake spectrum analyzer on a Wheeley. :thumbsdown:

Looks like it allows for horizonital mounting of an iPod for better use of cover flow and such.

I like it! I wish I could get one locally.

I hope they do more to revamp the i-931 than that... Who do they have working in Graphic Design there anyway? Hell, I would do it for free if they wanted at least there would be good looking stuff...

Ipod Touch compatibility also I assume.I've been waiting for that. It does seem that Lasonic has a tacky streak (the gold chain thing was AWFUL!). Some fake graphics are OK but I've always felt a fake tuner band to be over the top. There comes a point where you have to rethink things if you want asthetic continuity with the older designs.I feel the analog tuner area would have been a great place for additional lights. Perhaps a horizontal VU meter /spectrum analyzer,or "discolite" layout with number markings could have been designed into the i931. There's just too many fake graphics on it! It gets to the point it feels similar to a company having taken a block of plastic,put decals on all sides (wheels,windshield,headlights,doors,trunk,etc.),and sold it as a model car.
