Gang, I have to assume this is a repeat, often-asked question, but my search did not turn up much. Easy question... I am thinking about getting one of these Lasonic iPod boomboxes, the the reviews are all over the place - from, "don't touch it w/a 10-foot pole" to five out of five stars... Just asking for a true, honest perspective on not only sound, but durability w/these things... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Everyone has there own opinions on these. For being a lasonic its pretty well built. The handle is probably the cheapest part of the box. But if you are looking for a nice retro looking bbx that will hold and play your ipod this is the one. as for sound quality it could be better but then again it is a Lasonic :-D If you are looking for more durablilty and better sound then you will have to pay $250 or more and go with the new jvc kaboom for ipod http://www.electronicsshowplace.com/kab ... 27922.html. :-D

I actually use it more for the SD card. Just put in on "random", and you got music for hours :-D

yes its what really made me buy it....no other box of this kind has this feature ....(except now for the innovative technologies one that just came out.)..plus the batteries will last longer as well....
