Lasonic 931 gen2 deck A speed control

Working on my 931 gen2 tape decks. Finally got deck A to work after resoldering all the wires that just pop off from handleing but can't seem to change the speed of the motor. Deck B has an adjustment screw but not deck A. Any suggestions?

Also could someone show where this red wire that connects to deck A direction LED connects to?
