Yeah, those back and middle cases HAD to be painted!!

Lasonic should've probably made 'em dark grey instead of that funny color that changes over time... Years later, it's like, "YUCK!!"

I never really have understood why so many radio's have a different color back than the front
Sadly, the 920 was one of the biggest offenders when it comes to off colored backs

I have often wondered how good the 920 would look painted "Correctly" and now I know...

it looks so bad ass having the back silver like the front .this thing pops and bling's in the sun light with that blinding shine .
i even painted the handle to match ,all in all i'm very happy with the way it turned out

Actually the back on mine is silver/gray...I think that many Boomboxes discolor due to sun, cigarette smoke and even temperature. I've seen many like this and it does really S-ck!!!

Dang, that looks much better than the yellowed casing, Floyd. The groove around the outside edge makes a nice boundary for the painting and helps to make it appear natural.
