Just got this 918 and everything works. Although it does look a little different from other 918s. Anyone see another one like it? :hmmm:

I believe there were at least 2 versions of the 918. Yours looks in good shape.

I seen at least 3-4 different versions. Differences in tweeter grills, tuner dial and even cabinet. My tweeters are different ;-)

Thanks guys! I had never seen a 918 with 920 tweeter grilles (rotated nonetheless), so wasn't sure if it was factory or a mod. Thanks to The Legend, I now know it's factory.

Come to think of it, I should've known after talking to Albert at Lasonic: Yung Fu used so many part suppliers back in the day, that there are probably even more 918, 920, 922, 931 variations awaiting discovery. :w00t:

I really do like the look of these, they look like they're loosely based on the Sanyo M9990, from the front. Very nice box indeed, this is one box that looks really great in silver.

Great Find Miles, Nope, never seen that one, but like everyone said, there are so many variants. The 918 is a VERY under rated box. They are loud for their size. Glad you found one in full working condition!
