Laminating Coming off on some parts

Anyone know what to do when this happens?

Oh yeah... And I haven't cleaned any of my boomboxes other than cleaning tape heads. What should I use? Point me to a thread if there's one, if you know of one customized for these boxes or my M70

My husband said that, but I wasn't sure... I don't want to yank it off if it is supposed to be there. Hmmmm... If it is, then it's on the whole upper right panel with the dial, all the buttons, except the tape buttons. You really think it could be the protective sticker?

Yes I have seen this before...Just pull a small amout up and if you see shine then your in business

holly --the 'harmless' spot is the top left corner -
next to the #2 deck --
start peeling it there -
if we are right --and you are THAT lucky -
then you have a brand new surface

Good luck! Maybe someone will buy the sticky after you pull it all off. Crunch it up a bit until it looks like elvis, then put it on ebay!

That is just the protective plastic that comes on new decals like that, it is supposed to be peeled off!

It will be a little harder to do now because it has been on there for so long, but just lightly pick and peel it off. It will look shiney new under it and won't leave any sticky residue, I promise.


I peeled if off my Lasonic 975, my Lasonic 935, and my Crown 5100 when I got them.
