Thanks... cool sites.

On the Grundig site I found my Grandfather's Satelit 2000 (black/grey version). I remember going to Greding on weekends and that massive beast was on its own table in the glassed in porch, playing Bayern3 radio 12 hours a day.

Who knows where that thing ended up... ??? I'm thinking my uncle may actually still have it...

Thanks for the links, Jens! A lot of those old transistor style radios are sweet looking.

I think I need a Sony CFS-600 though. :w00t:

Wow JT!-
......... that`s just 28 miles away from me!
And you have investigate your uncle`s place to find out what happend to the Grundig!

You must definately visit me if you`re in Germany the next time.

There`s enough space for you and your family to stay in my house.

That last CFS on the SONY site almost looks like a 'retro' design from his re-imagined stuff......

and have a look at the cut piston cassette holders!

Yea, I noticed that too. Quite slick indeed! Makes for an interesting book-end.

I used to keep a BMW piston around that I pulled from an engine I destroyed on the A3 back in the late 80's. It had gouges in it where the valve smashed into it, thus causing the rod to crack. Since then, I've been a firm believer in changing timing belts as recommended by the manufacturer. :-/

I keep coming back to this site.
wouldn't it be great if you could order anything you see on this page?
incidentally, I answered my own question about the mystery box from the movie Watchmen.
It's a Sony from this page.

Cheers OSS :afro:
