Wrap em' with tape aka DUCT TAPE DOES IT AGAIN !

Tutorial on removing boombox radio knobs with duct tape / cello tape

Probably old news, but I'm making it an easier find.

That method works great because I've had to use it to pull off some tough knobs lol.

Yeah these were especially nerve racking, as they're set in and have a skirt so to appear flush with the panel, until this solution came to mind.

Grip with rubber works the best!

I use the rubber strip of this bottle opener.

Another method I used was make a loop with a nylon cord or strong thread, slip it under the knob, and then pull it out, with the other end wound on a pen or pencil for better grip.
