Just found a set of minty KLH Model 17 seventeen speakers today.
I could not test them so I took a chance.
Once I got them home, I hooked them up to my Sansui 9090db and was literally floored !
WOW ! THESE SUCKERS SOUND AMAZING ! I could not believe it !
Anyone have these ? I read they are made in mid 1960's.
I fixed a pushed in dust cap and oil/waxed the mint cabinets.
The grill covers were a bit warped so I washed them with hot water and soap and flattened them. I grill cover is missing a KLH logo. No biggie
Heres some pics

I Am Legend
i grew up with those KLH speakers -
they were made in my home town -
plenty of my friends worked in that factory -
we all had KLH speakers
awesome quality

you can power even the biggest KLH models with a good JVC M70 via the
speakers out jacks
their model #1 was their first and their best

Nice find Robb.

Always had a soft spot for the East Coast speakers and had a couple of these over the years. I have a pair of Thirty Twos at the moment and can spare ya a badge if it is a match. Should be, but let me know the exact size of yours and I will check if it is a match.

Nice little test receiver too !

Cheers

I love the sound of these old KLH speakers. I've had several of these including the seventeens. At the moment I listen to music in my garage through a pair of fives, which are my favorite of these old KLH's.
