Though also originally available in gray, the Lasonic TRC-920T is particularly nice looking in black. However,be aware that the "T" version of the 920 has single full range drivers. The tweets you see up top are fake plastic cones with no wires running to them.I was able to replace the fakes with real tweets from a standard 920 on my example. This helped the sound a great deal.Though the "T" does have nice sound and is pretty loud,I would think twice before spending this amount on it.I just thought I'd put this out there so anyone bidding on this sellers item would know.

Looks interesting, but I think I like the silver one better. Does this model only have one antenna???
I'm sure it's rare, I've never seen a black version, any ideas on when they came out?

Looks cool and that price isn't out of line with what they have been selling for the last few months. I've seen several sell between $300 to $400, personally I think that's to much but obviously some don't.

It has only one antenna.Unlike the standard TRC-920,the "T" version has a slot loading second deck above the units main deck.If I'm correct, the 920T was available in both gray and black. The standard 920 was made in silver only.300 to $400?My 931 is much more box than my 920T.I'm not dismissing the "T" as I like it very much but you should be able to get a really good 931 for that money.

no way in hell i would pay $400.00 for that , i do know the trc 920 was over $300.00 new costing much more than a trc 931 ,the trc 920 in mint condition might be worth $400.00 at the most ,i never really cared for the trc 920t even the trc 922 is much nicer and the trc 920 i think is the nicest lasonic ,altho i would love to have an L30k i love those boxes.

Okay I think I need to add a little to my post.
There is no way I'd pay $400 or even $300 for any 920 even though the asking price here doesn't seem out of line with what has been paid recently.

jared i just like the L30k it was loud and the sound was so so but it did look cool ,i think the older L30k's sounded much better than the re issued newer ones, still the trc 920 has the tightest cleanest powerful sound for its size of all lasonics if it were bigger i think it would be nicer looking than the conion or the gf 9000 but thats just me no offence intended i have a conion and the thing is a beauty i love it.

They used to sell these at my local auction every weekend by the hundreds. Sellers would bring in truck loads and sell them next to stacks of cheap crap car stereo gear. So where are they all now, I haven't found one local yet.

This has been re-listed.

I have never seen one of those, so I saved the picture from the auction.

I do wonder if this is in the BBDB ?

This may be another one that isn't in there! :-O
