Bloody hell that is awesome, nice video. I'm so glad we got to see a video demo of this rather than pictures.

I myself suppose that even in 1988 those probably found their places only in audiophile´s cars :w00t: I´d love to have one of those in one of my cars too, but i´m having trouble even with hooking up a normal car stereo here

That is so bad ass, but your not adjusting the EQ while driving down the road!
Thats true you can hardly do it sitting still. Both my vehicles have cassette head units. One also has a kenwood digital dsp unit and unless you learn the buttons and can use it without looking and it would be impossible to adjust on the move.

In the late 80's or early 90's I had bought one of the first touch screen car stereos made by Eclipse. Can't remember model number.

I saw that too Chris but I was like you know it's a waste of money because where the hell are you going to buy parts and it would cost a fortune take it to the shop. Although I must admit the old kenwoods are my favorites and the old Alpine shaft Mount radios were the best.

Exactly what I thought, damn shame too. Classic Kenwoods where the best and also classic Alpines. I bought a Kenwood car stereo a few years back and hands down it was the worst piece of modern electronic's I have ever owned. Tons of issues, starting with the fact that the screen can't be seen in daylight, because the LED's aren't very bright (like the people who created it). F'n thing has only a few buttons so everything has to be adjusted through menu's, which makes adjusting it while driving impossible. You have to set 20 parameters to get the sound set and every few weeks the damn thing would have some issue and lock up requiring a reset of the computer. It has a little pin hole for you to stick a paperclip in to reset it erasing all the settings! :bang: Worst customer service in the business too. I could go on and on. Worst POS I have ever owned. I will NEVER buy another Kenwood product again. And that says a lot because I have spent 20k on their products over the years!

Yeah Kenwood jumped on the bandwagon to begin making cheap f****** garbage I wouldn't even buy a new Kenwood I'm always looking for old school Kenwood amps on eBay that's a non-working because I figured out a long time ago how to fix these things usually it's the internal relay for the power turn on
