kaboom Mod !

so here is a nifty litte plan --

to avoid the lame digital kaboom tuner -----
simply add a pioneer TX-9100 tuner

plus - this old tuner has a volume control for the phone jack-
so we dont even really have to listen to our stupid kaboons

however --you can still hear and FEEL that great bass pump

not exactly very portable
but its sort of a 'best of all worlds' ----sometimes

I like your Pioneer-looks like about a 1975-76' vintage!
I love my SXV-90-circa 1987'.
Nice combo there-have to get one of those kabooms someday-not paying 100's though-no-no.
I'll find one someday-I'm now looking for the Telefunken!!!!!! Now that I have the M-90 I'm going for the top now!

Hi Ira-Yes I know,I wish it was mine!
I still can't belive Delv-toni how he got his-that's just nuts!!
Can't wait to get the M-90's cassette deck going so I can truly test the JVC's flagship with Steele Pulse's "Earth Crisis"-now there is some bass!!

but these old m90s are OLD !!

and you really cant push them too hard

they will distort in any heavy testing-
but there sure are nice -
up till then

Hi Ira-Yes I'm careful-I keep bass at about 7 or 3/4 at most.
Sometimes I put it up to full but at lower volumes,the sound is so nice.
The tuner is so powerful on these!!
I went through SW4 and there was so much to listen to-but the band buttons need de-oxit.
When she comes apart all the way that will be easy to remedy.
Tony-I like your 880 but I'm kind of keen on the WX-1!
I do like digital tuners and the 680 is nice for that.
I do look at all boomboxes so I'm not to picky as long as it's powerful & loud!!
