First off, this is my maiden post here. So might this not be the place to ask said question, my apologies. Anyhow, a few weeks back I managed to find/purchase the afore mentioned boombox at my local thrift shop for $14.99CAN. And while all 3 cd’s & the tuner still function as they were built to, without the remote I cannot figure out how the heck to test if the cassettes actually work. Or if they even can be without said remote? So while not the snazziest & or most complex unit out there, might anyone else who currently & or has in the past owned the same model & can help me out in that regard, I would more than appreciate it. Cheers!!!

When you press the Tape <> button among the four function selection buttons (just like you start playing a CD), the current tape must start playing. And then change the tape or other functions from the row of buttons above Volume Buttons.

Truly appreciate your help, Sir. Because sure enough after trying what you suggested, believe it or not, Tape A did “function” as well. Except after ‘playing’ the actual cassette tape as it was meant too, the machine itself would then flip flop to ‘reverse’ for the same duration of time. And by doing so, it ended up eating up the cassette tape I was using, as well. Live & learn though, I guess. And if not to pricey & or if it would even be worth it, perhaps one day I will have that issue serviced, as well. Thanks again though. Cheers!!!
