Got a deal on this M70.

This is what the missing antenna/mount looks like.

Hope I didn't make a mistake on this

Cassette doesn't work, radio plays.

I intend to use the line in till I can get the cassette fixed.

Seller was a skate boarder, I think I can guess how this happened.

I won't be laughing if I can't get it fixed.

one weaknesses of the m70 is that the antenna mounts inside the back case are very weak and they tend to break off. this is a very popular boombox so I have no doubt you will find some help getting it fixed. I can tell you though once those mounting tabs break off inside the back case there's nothing left to screw to. you might have to use some washers and just drill a hole through the back case and run a bolt through it to stabilize the antenna base. might not be the case at all I haven't seen what the inside looks like yet. I think it was a good purchase cuz these boxes are just now starting to drop in price they've been high for a while. mind you I seen a few fixer uppers on eBay that I thought about grabbing only because the price is so much below average.

I got it an m70 dirt cheap but the bottom line is one channel didn't like work so I said f*** it I mean the rest of it was so raggedy but I payed almost nothing for it .
I traded it to my good friend of mine as a favor. my buddy returned the favor 10 times over so I can't complain.

Thanks for the reply!
I may not get it to look original, but with a little finagling it may actually perform better than original.

I have read these tuners are excellent.
If I can find a way to mount much longer than original antenna for both f.m. and s.w., the reception should be phenomenal.

My only fear is that the previous owner was skating with the thing and had a spill, so that would mean more possible internal damage. I hope not. I paid slightly over $300 for this. The exterior looks worn, but notx damaged.Screenshot_20220122-165028_eBay.jpgScreenshot_20220122-164700_eBay.jpgScreenshot_20220122-164935_eBay.jpgScreenshot_20220122-164807_eBay.jpgScreenshot_20220122-164858_eBay.jpg
