I've had this box. For $20 bucks I'd say its a good deal if its in as nice condition as the owner says.
It sounds pretty good at low to medeum volumes the bass has a good solid feel to it and the mids highs are decent for not having tweeters. You wont want to use it without the hyperbass on, it sounds like a transistor radio if its off.
At loud volumes it falls off hard. I'm talkin' distortion city.
The tape deck is good one and it has auto reverse, another plus is the line in jacks on top of the unit. It looks pretty cool but I thought it was a little on the light side, the plastic they used is thin, but it holds up well.
It's one of the last examples of the straight edged boxes in the JVC line up.
