JVC PC200 Thrift store find today

Hello Familia. So,I was out and about and decided to check out this obscure and easily missed Thrift store today. I had a "feeling" about needing to go in there. I walked in and told the cashier "I'm on the hunt for old BoomBoxes". Without hesitation, she pointed to a rear corner of the store. I walked over and wasn't very impressed with the few they had. As I backed away from the shelves, I looked above me and saw what I thought was a another JVC PC55 looking down at me. I smiled and thought to myself, Stupid Adam, how could you not notice that one :blush: It is a JVC PC200. I quickly took it up to the cashier where they tested it it for me. Bingo! All working. The tape plays at the right spead but it sounded like the heads needed a good cleaning. VERY loud and clean sound. I got home and gave it a good exterior cleaning. I'm thinking I might sell her here, if someone wants her. I bought it as a "Rescue". What do y'all think?

Hi guys. Just returned from the Games. Tired. Yes, Floyd, the EQ works. This radio has a VERY clean and stong sound. I cranked it up to 7 (of 10) before it finally started to distort a litlle. Hell, I can't do that with my bigger boxes at half volume w/o reducing the bass. No static either. I'm amazed at this JVC, just like my other JVC PC55. Real quality was put into JVC Radios. The only thing I found is the play button needs a little help snapping back up after you push the stop button. A light touch (upward) with your finger tip and it snaps back up and into position. :huh: I believe someone here has the same model with labels on it? Reproduction labels? :cool:
