It is so hard to gauge a true value on any boombox.
Example on JVC M90:
-a couple weeks ago a decent, fully working, USED M90 sold on ebay for $2,950
-a couple months ago a better condition, fully working, USED M90 sold on ebay for $2,500
-a few months ago a decent, fully working, USED M90 sold on ebay for $1,500
-about 6 months ago I purchased my good condition USED M90 with the cassette deck needing belts and a couple knobs for $180
Again same goes for the JVC M70, they can range from $80 all the way up to $1,000. It's just the way it goes. For taking the chance on an ebay M70 with non working cassette for $400+, NO FREAKING WAY! But again, that is all that is available to the general public on ebay. Being a member here will help you really get the boombox you want, maybe catch a great deal, maybe pay a fair price, but it should ALWAYS come as described and packaged better than any ebay seller

.
Even at $500 shipped, I have sellers remorse and am sad to see this boombox go :'-( . If you offered any less I probably wouldn't have taken it honestly. You will be very happy with this M70.
