I bet it's a great sounding unit. I've never bought one of these Technics as I like my boxes to be able to run on batteries.

Do these not have a removable PSU that, once slid out, is replaced by the battery? The smaller SAC-05L does, hence my aksing. Nice box either way.

not on the sa-7 , it's ac only with no place to attach a battery box . plus it draws 215 watts which is way beyond what d-cells can deliver.

I sold My SA-07 to a member here months ago. It's worth that price for sure. It's very powerful and very heavy too. The Japan only version had a battery pack that could be attached to the rear panel but was less powerful. That model was not sold in the U.S. So, these have to be plugged in. Congratulations.

You'll enjoy this. Like many of it's ilk...whether it could have batteries or not, you would want to lug it around anyway.
