I watched yesterday afternoon when I got home from work.
I wish I could travel at Mach 5 - The traffic around here would be no match!
I remember the first time I saw a Shuttle launch. I honestly had no idea what I was seeing. In September 1998 I had been living in Orlando for about two weeks, working for a telemarketing company in Winter Park. I went out around 7:30 p.m. for a smoke break. I was leaning against my car, facing east, when I saw a large orange fireball rise from the horizon. I kept watching as it made a turn to the right, then the fireball got smaller and smaller. I went back inside and got back to work, thinking the entire time that I had seen a UFO. I dared not tell anyone, since I was still the new guy from out of town. That's all I need - two weeks in Orlando and I'm already the "Nut-Job Yankee."

It wasn't until I got home and turned on the late news that I realized what the heck it was that I saw. I felt much better.
I watched 3 more launches while living there, from a friend's driveway in Titusville, who lived on the Indian River. Probably one of the most insane things a person can see.
BTW, I only lasted about 3 months at that job, so I won't call you and interrupt your dinner.
