Registering for this site could quite possibly ruin my marriage. Heh, the wifey doesnt quite get the appeal 100% (well she doesnt get the cost part of it.)

I've always loved blasters but never really invested any time/money into it until recently. Most of my time and money has gone into dj'ing and production, but now i want to HEAR it! Love that analog sound.

lol, shes on my case because I have enough audio equipment and records to fill a small house already.

"why do you need boomboxes when you dont even record to tape?!"

With that statement I started recording to my tascam, heh.

The chances are pretty good for that. ;-)

Sometimes the wife will ask me if my boomboxes are hatching offspring.  I heard this last night, "Why do you keep buying all those old, sealed cassettes?!"

Throw a frog into a pot of boiling water and it'll hop right out. But place him into cool water and slowly heat it up -- you can cook him and he wouldn't even know it.

Just take it slow. She'll get used to it.

...good luck....a year ago I told my wife I only wanted 3 boxes. Now I have 17 and it continues to grow. I have a better feeling for the type of boxes I want in my collection so I guess that was the key for me...problem is, all the boxes I love to listen to are the high quality, expensive grails...so welcome to the site and happy hunting!!... :-D

Well I think I have her sold. I showed her a bd-8000 and she fell in love.
She does a lot of walking and said she wants to go out with one so I showed her the qt27 and the fm15 and she just about died. As long as I can get her a red or pink mini I'm golden.
