Looks nice  and a solid looking cassette mechanism as well. Should be another great box after you're done with it...as usual

This is the slightly harder to find TRK-8290 with the silver tuning dial, speaker grilles & the piano type keys for the tape transport rather than the solid type keys used on the 8190!

I don't know if there are any other differences between the two - I have always pondered this over the years!! :-)

Definitely prefer the look of the 8290 which is why it has taken so long to find one all complete!!

As a side note: I am sadly unable to make it to the meet due to changes at home - Not the best time for major changes at home, however it is for the right reasons & hinges on me being happy again since the marriage breakup & the horrible after effects of the stroke!!
Hope to catch up with you guys at the next UK meet!! :-)

I had one of these around 13 years ago... The sound is impressive and it is satisfyingly loud...
The speaker size places limitations on the bass frequency but it's still a great sounding system.

I imagine this was definitely a high end unit in it's time.
