Scott (Skippy1969) and I decided to do another trade :-D So we drove and met up in Roscoe Illinois to swap out boomers...This BBX is awesome and HUGE :-O Since even before our last mini meet I was hoping to get my hands on a Fisher, and when I seen Scott's Fisher it made me want it more.... I even tried to get a Fisher PH490 on ebay and through another member here but Scott and I came to an agreement for a trade so now I am the new owner of the Fisher PH480...Thank you Scott again for a beautiful box

These Fisher's to me were always like high end home stereo equipment. Packed with high end features, better build construction, of course HIGHER PRICE, classy (not flashy) design cues.

Yours is very clean....Nice trade....

What did you give him BTW?

I've been in love with my Big Fisher since 1984 and they are something else. Welcome to the Fisher family. Lasonic is right, they are a classy looking box with quality built right into them.

Great stuff, Bill! She's a classic model!

These Fisher's pre-date the mid/late 80s threepiece trend by many years, to my knowledge. Certainly a classic model!

Rock On.

that is a nice looking box

Not only ice looking, but high output (loud) boxes with deep bass too!!!

I own this one too . The PH 480 sounds much better than the PH 490
Ok i pushed mine too hard and i blew a amp chip .
It seems that these Sanyo chips are fragile because i bought another PH 480 for parts and this parts box has one blown amp chip too. The one working amp chip has to go in the other PH 480

Hey Eddy, I've been wanting to ask someome who has/had both the 480 & 490/492 series. Can you tweek MORE bass from the 480 (which has no EQ) than the 490/492(EQ)? Or any other member that knows?
