That's probably the main reason why - for the past 5 years - I prefer Japanese urban music over American music...
I'd rather listen to something I can understand 10% of than the sh!t that's "popular" HERE and I can understand 100% of.
I think the only artist that's on the top 10 charts right now worth checking out is Adele 'cause that chick isn't doing what everybody else is doing.
But yeah, most of the stuff that passes for "R&B" these days isn't R&B at all... Example: Alicia Keys last album...
I'm starting to get back into listening to one of the only radio stations in Philly that plays REAL R&B... I like most of what I hear there!

Absolutely and I love her new discovery, the "A Group" which I hear will be droppin' their own tracks soon. I hope it all shakes out.
