If you told me 2-3 years ago that a couple of companies would start doing boomboxes with a cassette deck in a sort of classic retro style I would of said you’re crazy.

I like the Brooklyn box and I like the way this one looks.

I live in Perth, Western Australia. I purchased one of these on Boxing Day at JB HiFi and it sounded superb, I was blown away at the sound this pumps out. Even the speakers were led lit with a blue light. It was everything I wanted and had been looking for at a bargain price. Unfortunately not all is as it seems. When playing back a CD or cassette the Boombox cuts out a few seconds of every track, I refer to it as audio clipping. I returned it and was given another one which sadly was the same. They were purchased from two different JB outlets. I called the manufacturer helpline being Tempo and after some investigation was informed it was a fault that could not be fixed by any setting and I was issued an authority to return to JB Hi-Fi. So I returned it and received a full refund. I definitely would buy one again if or when the fault is corrected by Tempo. Hopefully if there are enough complaints it will be recalled and reissued with a new model number.

Did the clipping happen on DC or AC?
If DC, what kind of batteries was it using?

Very cool to be a preliminary review of this box. I would like to know it's over all dimensions and speaker size

Look like a Lasonic i931 and a clone of GPO boombox. Have similar tuner and knobs...
This price $ 249 is too high. The real price is $50-70 if you buy 1000 pieces from Alibaba:

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Trinovae-Retro-boombox-cassette-Player-with_60819521866.html?spm=a2700.7724838.2017115.473.1e356506NAj2EC

If you buy 1000, I belive that you have option, the factory to print your brand on the front on the boombox.
So this must be "Boomboxery" boombox or what you want...
