Japanese to American Voltage Swap?

Among like units, of course. I'm thinking of doing a transformer swap & want to know first if anyone has done this with success. I bought a Victor Kaboom and would like to play it here with 120v instead of 100v. Bought a US spec parts unit just for this. Wouldn't this cause more of the same worries, i.e. the wrong voltage to regulators & IC's, etc?

Any experience with a 100v to 120v conversion/swap?

As long as the output voltage on the 120V transformer is the same as the output voltage on the 100V transformer, it should be OK.

hey ken....I had the same issue with the gf 1000 it was 100v...I had a 777z transformer and the out put voltage was the same ...not shure about the jvc but the sharp was idenical....good luck with your mod
